Hi! I’m Trin. 👋🏽 Quilt pattern designer, lover of colour + joyful maker.

I didn’t come to quilting through formal training or a traditional path. I found it through curiosity, creativity, and a deep love for colour. From the first time I stitched a few mismatched pieces together, I was hooked - and I’ve been dreaming in colour ever since. 

Before my first quilt pattern was launched, I spent over 20 years sewing my own clothes, which lead to three x four, then A + R Fabrics and now Trin Makes Quilts. 

It was through that journey - surrounded by colour, creativity, and community - that I found quilting. Something about the freedom of patchwork and the rhythm of piecing pulled me in. Designing quilt patterns became a natural next step: a way to combine my love of sewing with my obsession for colour and design.

I’m a passionate, hands-on creator who thrives on playfulness and possibility. I believe quilts are stories stitched in fabric, and I love designing patterns that invite others to explore, experiment, and make something uniquely their own.

While I may have more ideas than hours in the day, (don’t we all?!) I bring heart and intention to everything I create. My patterns are designed to spark inspiration, whether you’re just beginning your quilting journey or have thread in your veins.

Here, you’ll find bold shapes, vibrant palettes, and patterns made to be both joyful and achievable. I believe quilting should be fun, not fussy - and that the best projects are the ones made with love (and maybe a little extra coffee).
